Throughout our lives, we have each worked independently to create positive change in our communities and in our nation. Now as we merge our lives and build our family together, we are establishing a family foundation to meaningfully give back to the city that is hosting all of us for our wedding. Tulsa is a city where we see currents of progress catalyzing important change around generational inequities, and where community leaders are creating a vision for a more just future. Our goal is to alchemize the support of our friends and family into a sum contribution toward positive change in this community that is so important to us. The Bush Hughes Foundation for Progress has been established to support organizations and individuals working for equity, social justice, and progress in the City of Tulsa.
In lieu of a gift registry, we are asking our guests to instead contribute to our budding family legacy by donating to The Bush Hughes Foundation. The organization is a 501c3, making your donation fully tax deductible. With your support we’ll collectively have the resources to make grants to local changemakers, organizations, entrepreneurs, artists, and charities in the community that we love so much. After donating, a tax receipt will be provided for your records.
